Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a great view and spacious rooms, but the dated carpets could use an update. The dining options were pricy and not impressive, yet the staff went above and beyond to assist when needed, which was a real plus. However, it's located a bit far from town, which might not be ideal for everyone.
I had a great experience overall during my stay at this hotel. The manager was incredibly attentive and went out of his way to ensure our needs were met, especially regarding dietary restrictions. The location provided stunning views, but some aspects of the hotel felt outdated, particularly the carpeting. Lastly, dining options were decent but limited in flexibility for special dietary requirements.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with stunning views, but the carpets clearly need an update. The food was a bit pricey and mediocre, although the breathtaking scenery helped. I appreciated the staff's helpfulness, especially when they arranged transport for us at a crucial moment. It’s conveniently located but a little far from downtown.
My stay was relatively enjoyable with its beautiful views of the beach and nearby Karatsu Castle. Although the management, specifically Mr. Suzuki, was very attentive and accommodating especially regarding dietary needs, the room's condition left something to be desired with outdated carpeting. The location was a bit far from town, making it a little inconvenient for dining options outside the hotel, but the service from the staff generally made up for it. Overall, it was a decent experience but could use some renovations.
I had an enjoyable stay overall with a decent location close to the beach and a convenience store. The food was above average for hotel buffets but not extraordinary. A major downside was the staff's lack of flexibility regarding dietary restrictions; despite notifying them of a gluten allergy, they could not accommodate. Nonetheless, they were gracious enough to refund our dinner costs, and we found delicious alternatives in town.
While the hotel has a large structure and offers nice views of the beach and castle, it feels outdated and in need of renovation. The service, particularly from the manager, was commendable, especially regarding food allergies. However, the dining options were costly and mediocre, and the amenities could use improvement, such as better Wi-Fi access and room upgrades.
The hotel presents a mix of charm and wear, with a rejuvenated exterior but a lobby that feels like a throwback to the 1960s. Our spacious suite was a fantastic deal, especially for the price, and the location near the coast is a definite plus. However, some aspects like the dated rooms and the overpriced dining could use improvement.
I had an enjoyable stay overall at this hotel. The rooms were decent and the location was convenient, right next to a store and close to the beach. The food was better than many hotel buffets, but my experience with a gluten allergy request was a bit disappointing as the staff were not flexible. Still, everything else was good and we found great dining options nearby.
I had a mixed experience at the Karatsu Royal Hotel. The rooms offer a lovely sea view, but unfortunately, the carpet was quite worn out. The service was somewhat lacking in flexibility, especially regarding dietary needs. The location is decent, a bit far from town but manageable, and the dining was expensive for what was offered. Overall, it was an okay stay with some enjoyable aspects but definitely room for improvement.
While the hotel appears fresh from the outside, the interior and rooms definitely show their age. The spacious suite I booked offered plenty of room and a good view, which made it a decent value at Y 210. Unfortunately, the dated decor and lack of recent renovations do detract from the overall experience, but the plentiful bathroom amenities and the staff's friendly service made my stay enjoyable.
